End Partisanship

Oh!  I know:

Nothing makes me tune out of a political debate faster than hearing the word "partisan."  It's a word that triggers my sub-conscious "politics is relative and neither side has the answer" snooze response.

So I propose the following:

Fight the word "partisan" by arming yourself with quotes from the bad guys!  This USED to be hard, because of the nearly fascistic discipline shown by the enemy, but it's becoming increasingly easy (Rove is off his meds).  Use this handy-dandy guide:

Topic

Person to Quote

Internal White House politics; demeanor/attentiveness of President (see also, Mayberry Machiavellis)

Paul O’Neill (buy the book; it's not online!)

Economics

Citizens Against Government Waste,
Wall Street Journal’s editorial page (subscription)

American unilateralism

Hagel and Lugar, oh and Hagel again

Mishandling of Iraq war aftermath

War on drugs

Alan Keyes

Patriot Act rollback

Bob Barr, Idaho GOP (!)

Medicare Bill

American Conservative Union

Mission to Mars

Bwahahahaha…EVERYONE!

I’m sure there are lots more; e-mail me with any suggestions (mail link on sidebar).
